Horse-drawn sleigh rides at the Szabó Lőrinc Member Institution – a winter wonder that brings children closer to nature and the past! (January 2026.)
This week, the children of the Arany János Gymnasium, Primary School and Dormitory in Nyíregyháza, Szabó Lőrinc Member Institution, are also having an experience that is preserved in the village winters of old: the two fifth grades, a total of 50 children and 5 teachers, were able to take part in horse-drawn sleigh rides. The program was made possible by Dániel Lippai, a resident of Kemecsa and the owner of the horse-drawn sleigh, who was happy to support the Association's request.
The freshly fallen snow, the crisp whiteness under the horses' hooves and the tinkling sound of the sleigh all at once evoked the atmosphere of the old winters and the intimate connection with nature. For the children, this was not only a special program, but also living educational material: the fifth graders are dealing with the winter behavior of nature and wild animals, so the experiences have now been transformed into a real experience.

A tél szépségeit meglátva, a természet működését és festői arcát megcsodálva arra neveljük a gyerekeket, hogy éljék meg a tél örömeit, lássák meg annak értékeit, és segítsenek / gondoskodjanak felelősen az állatokról ott és akkor, amikor csak tudnak."
The purpose of the Association Supporting the Development of the Szabó Lőrinc Eco-School is:
!We not only want to strengthen environmentally conscious thinking, but also to fill the Eco-School title with real content. We are working on implementing complex educational programs that are organized around sustainability, environmental protection and the cultivation of Hungarian cultural traditions. With our work, we contribute to children acquiring responsible thinking in an experience-based way and becoming active, value-creating members of society as adults!
